MEET WITH A GENESIS PREP ADMINISTRATOR
One of your first stops on your Genesis Preparatory School campus visit will be to the main office, where you’ll meet the principal and members of our faculty and staff. We’ll sit, chat, and get to know each other. The principal may ask you a few questions about your current school, your interests, and what your goals are. Don’t worry! This discussion is informal and should not be a source of any stress.
TAKE A PLACEMENT TEST
Either on your first visit or when you’ve decided to enroll in Genesis Prep, you’ll take a few placement tests. Again, please don’t be worried about these tests! The purpose of these tests, along with the personal essay you’ll write as a part of your application packet, is not only to measure academic ability and knowledge but also to help us identify what you might need from us and from your teachers. We use these assessment tools, along with the transcripts and letters of recommendation you’ll submit with your application, to put you in the right classes as well.
SHADOW A GENESIS PREP STUDENT
One of the most important components of the Genesis Preparatory School campus visit is the chance you’ll have to shadow a Genesis Prep student. We want to make sure that you get a good sense of what it’s like to belong to the Genesis Schools community, and participating in classes is an excellent first step! You’ll have the chance to see what classes are like, talk to students, and get a feel for what a day in the life of a Genesis Prep student is.
